Yes, it is probably because every woman rich and poor is subject to it. Poor women bear the brunt of hunger , unemployment and rape. Same with poor children. The media has probably over hyped some of the rape cases in the metros I am sure in the framework of analysis of poverty class, caste and gender need to be factored in. while determining vulnerabilities. I would request not to take discuss rape out of context. There are rapes that no one talks about - of dalit women, of prostitutes but they are rape all the same. I strongly agree with the fact that we do have some major and vital issues like Poverty,Malnutrition,Illiteracy,Ill Health. These are the biggest threat to humanity and in fact to all the nations/culture. Of course, these issues have not cast, religion, race, gender, nation, boundary. And from humanitarian point of view these issues should be taken care of at first.

Crime against women specially in India, is not only an administrative problem buit also this is the biggest social problem. And I without any hesitation, I would recommend Judicial reform in this regard. I am not an advocate neither I do have any legal knowledge. But as far as my experience is concerned, the standard and work culture of the lower courts (ACJM/CJM,Distt. & Session Courts) should be improved. A new and advanced trial procedure should be adopted to minimise the fake trials and in order to give Justice to the actual victims. In order to do so, the complainant and the accused should be cross examined with the modern equipment like - Narco Test,Brain Mapping,Heart Beat test during the statement. Also, the witnesses should be cross examined and the authenticity of evidences should be tested by the Centralised Test Laabs only. Believe me, this will change and improve our nation and society upto at least 50%. On the top of that, we can stop taking fake oaths and the misuse of Gita/Kuran in the Court Rooms.

I came across few cases these days in which women have falsely filled criminal cases of rape, dowry, domestic violence, maintenance case ets.Me and my family members are one of the victims of 498a,3/4 D/V case so I really experienced this very closely.

Believe me this is the right time for all of us to wake up and work towards this issue. My humble suggestion for our people in India that we should start working on his from our families and societies.

Once again, thanks and Jai HInd!Deepakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06769594208711193539noreply@blogger.com
