I duly respect your view point sir. and for the people who were making statements against you and focusing more on this '90% Indians are fools' topic, if you are so confident about your intellect and sensitization, then why can't you just consider yourself among those 10% intelligent Indians. sorry to say, but here that famous hindi proverb- 'chor ki daddhi main tinka' fits the best. Good Luck Intelligent Indians, hope you will work for a better india !!
that's a defeatist attitude. if people start believing that they needn't participate in a democratic process just because they'll be a minority, we can kiss any (likely) progress goodbye. you certainly have no problem in voicing your opinions in your blog even though your views don't always represent the majority. so what are you afraid of? millions of people in the world would do love to have democracy so that they can make their governments better; and you are behaving like an ungrateful child who doesn't seem to understand the power that democracy gives to common man. sure times are bad, and it may seem like the vote of one person has no meaning. and i am sure that there are millions of people who share your feelings. but just think for a moment - what if all of these millions turned up to vote? there can definitely be change for the good. just remember, if you don't exercise your right to vote you also don't have the right to complain when thing don't improve.

What else it will be? 1. Founded on alien principles. To put harshly a few English speaking jokers copied the constitution. Never scope for native thought and approach for life.
2. The political establishment builds nexus with bureaucracy.
3. Even judiciary lured into nexus by way of post-retirement BENEFITS (appointments)
4. The so called fourth estate, that should be watch dog, becomes pet dog of a single family. Those enjoying post-retirement appointments see other way and blabber mindlessly.
I have many of your Landmark judgments listed on http://mynation.net/docs/ i still regard you as a one of wise judge next to Justice ARIJIT PASAYAT.
Voting or not is your personal decision. it is true when many blind, dumb and deaf Indians vote criminals without judging them, our valuable vote become useless.

Dear Mr Katju Your comments (On Indians voting like sheep and cattle and on extra religious beliefs of our society) Are so correct and an eye opener for many in India i request you to comment on speeches made by baba ramdev and rajeev dixit who have there own version of Indian history which they have used on many occasions in the past to distort the actual facts .I am hopeful that many people in India can gain some knowledge by your valued comment.
plz come up with suggestions only talking is not a solution we can't get calm we have to try at every level of live to counter for good change through vote or pen
If only judiciary could give the judgements quickly and transparently democracy would have continued to improve... but alas no effort has been put on judicial reforms..
During one of your interview, you had expressed resentment over usage of acrimonious language by a media house while making allegation against Shri Salman Khurshid. In this interview of Shri Deepak Sharma, he talks in detail about the research work done by his team before doing that story.
You are right in your opinions and they have substance. Here you have answered each and every question satisfactorily. To understand your views one will have to be rational, sincere and non emotive. The problem with the people criticizing you is the same problem which was with the people criticizing Ram Mohan Roy, Jyotiba Puhule and other great Indian reformers. This will happen in a transforming stage (anomy) of a society. I feel thankful, please keep on spreading the light.
I duly respect your view point sir.
