Watching the T.V. and hearing the huge popular support for the odd even scheme reminded me of the enthusiasm and euphoria at the beginning of most wars,e.g. World War 1, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, etc.
But after some time the euphoria wanes as the mess accumulates and body bags start coming back, and it is back to business as usual.
