The human Incitatus
It is said that the Roman Emperor Caligula ( who ruled from 37 to 41 A.D.) made his favourite horse Incitatus a consul ( the highest office in the Roman Empire, after the Emperor ), and that this horse was 'attended' to by servants, and it invited 'dignitaries' to dinner.
Similarly, Sonia Gandhi made Manmohan Singh, a man who had never won a Lok Sabha election in his life, the Prime Minister of India, and this human Incitatus loyally obeyed whatever instructions he got from 10 Janpath

  1. Very True, Manmohan Singh is like this only, but why people of India selected him for the second time? and why he is able to rule for ten years at a stretch? It may be his good luck and countries bad luck.

  3. Dear Justice Katju,

This is a really cheap post from your side. With this post you have fallen to the level of abusive people, whom you detest so much and ban from facebook etc. Just the way you expect others to be critical of you in a civil way, you should be civil in your criticisms of others. I do not see the difference between your attitude in this post and the attitude of abusers hanging around over the internet, since both are so sure that they are correct and go about humiliating their opposition without giving any reasons whatsoever.
