Duty of majority

It is reported that two dozen Muslim families in Basi village in Gurgaon were thrashed and forced to flee. These people were operating small units like barbers, tailoring and scrap dealers.
I condemn this incident. A hallmark of a civilized society is that the minorities in it can live with dignity and honour. it is the duty of the majority community  to ensure that minorities are safe and can live with dignity. I deeply regret that the majority community in Basai village failed in their duty

  1. I also condem the incident but like to treat it as a detoriating law and order problem rather than majority minority conflict.

  3. Dear Mr Katju
Now where do I find your condemnation of the following?
    1. your condemnation against the hindu girl who was gang raped and forcibly converted to islam by the muslim mullah and his cronies in uttar Pradesh on the eve of holy(sic) ramadan?
    2. your condemnation against the well planned attack on hindu amaranth yatra pilgrims by the muslim pony operators at baltal base camp and desecrating the hindu god idols in the langars?
    3. your condemnation against the planned attacks on hindu villagers in hindu majority villages in west Bengal by muslims and making them vacate their villages so that the Bangladeshi muslims can occupy it?

I need an answer mr katju.

    1. Mr Rambo Raja, there is proverb in Tamil. Some attempt to become here, by asking questions only. I respect his today's condemnation. Billions of things will happen in India. As and when he comes across few ones reported on news and he has the freedom too like and me, which ones to condemn and which ones he didn't have time to issue condemnation. So, don't be silly asking questions. Grow up. Bring your new ideas if you have. Don't be an Idea killer. This is a blog to bring people together. Not a trial to have both sides. If you don't like it, you have freedom not to read. Don't be a spoiler.

  4. LOL, don't have an answer, isn't it. Hindu bashing has become a fashion anyway. behati ganga me haath dho lo. I'm sure you must be loving it when sri-lankan navy arrests the tamil fishermen. I hope you have a proverb in tamil for that as well!

  5. Rambo raja:

Please don't mind Mr. Sengaian, he is the main exponent of the Katju Fan Club (KFC) or to put it hindi, Katju Bhakti Mandal, so much so that he has placed himself right in the center and on top of Mr. Katju's head so that Mr. Katju doesn't feel the heat of the hard hitting questions like you and I pose to Mr. Katju! Being one of the biggest fans' of Mr. Katju, it is the solemn duty of Mr. Sengaiyan to dissipate all the heat of hard hitting questions directed towards Mr. Katju. So Mr. Sengaiyan is only performing his holy duty as a fan and disciple of Mr. Katju!

Brother Rambo, you have raised all the valid issues to hit him below the belt! But don't expect him to answer to any of your questions, as you may have noted, he doesn't even entertain cross-examination, let alone answer them! Nobody is expected to cross examine Mr. Katju, its a cardinal sin. So please don't ever pose any question to him again, simply toe his line because its his Extra Judicial Fatwa.

Secondly, Mr. Katju will never raise the majority issues as it will not earn him a Governorship which he is trying so desperately hard to earn by some how pleasing the new God call Modi at the 10 Janpath Temple! That is why he keeps racking up non issues by sensationalizing them on his blog so as to draw media attention and endear himself to the new God. After all, when its Janmastmi, you have to praise Lord Krishna even if the Lord Ganesha is supposed to be the first and foremost among equals!

Therefore, brother Rambo, how can you even expect Mr. Katju to sacrifice his self interests just to answer your questions, no matter how valid they may be!

  6. Steve, I enjoy your sense of humor. You are extremely demanding. This is a free forum. You don't have attorney-client relationship, as a paid service. And you don't seem to understand civility also includes tolerance. In free world, spoilers and idea killers are many. I am a personality of positivism. To do any good to the world, do it yourself in executing not lecturing. I am member of Greenpeace. And an authentic meaningful member, I vowed not to iron my dress liftime to conserve energy from the day I joined Greenpeace, not just $25 a month would make any difference. I don't believe in hero-worship.
