Speech at Stanford today evening ready

3.6.2015, 8 a.m.
My speech to be delivered at Stanford University at 5 p.m. today is almost ready.
I will mention briefly what is India, India's past achievements, and also our defects, and my prediction of our future. You will know the details when it is posted on my fb page and on Youtube.

I will conclude by quoting a sher ( couplet ) from the great Urdu poet Faiz :
" Gulon mein rang bhare baad-e-naubahaar chale
Chale bhi ao ki gulshan ka kaarobar chale "

What does this sher mean ? Let me explain.

Urdu poetry often has an outer, superficial meaning, and an inner real meaning.
The outer, superficial meaning of this sher is :

" Among the flowers, a morning breeze of the new spring full of colours is blowing
Come forward, so that the work of the garden can be done "

However, the inner real meaning is :

" The objective situation in the country is ripe
Come forward patriots, the country needs you "
The word ' gulshan' literally means a garden, but here it really means the country.

P.S.
Gul means a flower, gulon is the plural. Baad means the morning breeze. Naubahar means the new spring. Gulshan meams garden. Kaarobar means work.
