Someone asked me about Sadat Hasan Manto.
I replied :
" Manto was one of the greatest short story writers of all times, comparable to Maupassant, Somerset Maugham, O.Henry and Premchand. He wrote passionately about the horrors of Partition e.g. ' Thanda Gosht ', " Tithwal ka kutta ', ' Toba Tek Singh ', ' Khol do ', etc. It was a great tragedy he died in his early 40s "
