Today, 11th June, is the birth anniversary of Ram Prasad Bismil, one of my heroes, a great freedom fighter, and guru of Ashfaqulla, another great freedom fighter, who was hanged by the British.
Our real freedom fighters, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Surya Sen, Khudiram Bose, Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqulla, Rajguru, Sukhdev, etc have been marginalized, relegated to the footnotes in our history books, and treated as mavericks and outside the mainstream of the freedom struggle, while that fake hypocritical 'Mahatma' is eulogized and given the credit of making India free
