Leaving in a couple of hours for Whistler, the ski resort, which is an hour and a half drive from West Vancouver where I am staying.
The drive is over one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. I have been over it earlier too. To the left is the blue sea, to the right are green hills. It is like a marvellous painting, and I wish I were a painter. There are waterfalls on the way.
I was advised to take warm clothing as Whistler is on a higher altitude than Vancouver, and it gets cold there. In the morning I went with a relative for a walk on the sea front. Beautiful view of the sea, and in the distance, Vancouver Island.
Lot of fresh oxygen in the air.
Thereafter we went to the West Vancouver Memorial library. I collected 8 books to read in Whistler ( that is, when I am not out on excursions ). My relative had forgotten his library card. The library attendant said " No problem, just give me your driver;s licence ". She scanned it and returned it. We then took the books. Everything works on trust in North America.
