Why does Modi talk such nonsense to mislead Indians ?
He said recently in Fudan University in Shanghai that India and China should work together to eliminate poverty. Does he not understand that China, with its 3.5 trillion dollar foreign exchange reserve and huge trade surplus,( which means a huge amount of hot money hungrily looking for foreign markets to capture and dominate ) is like an imperialist power seeking colonies i.e. markets, cheap raw materials, etc which will lead to further impoverishment, unemployment and misery in India, as British rule did ?
There are certain 'iron laws' of economics at work, irrespective of one's personal desires. The Chinese having set up a huge industrial base must now aggressively capture foreign markets and foreign raw materials, including the Indian market and Indian raw materials, like any imperialist power. How then can there be friendship and cooperation between us ? We must resolutely oppose the vicious Chinese designs, instead of indulging in meaningless Hindi-Chini bhai bhai claptrap and nonsense.
