Today, is 18th May in Vancouver, Canada where I am presently staying, and is 19th May in India.
19th May is the birth anniversary of one of my heroes, Kemal Mustafa Ataturk, the Father of modern Turkey.
The stupid bigoted Muslims in India, Pakistan and some other countries condemn him because he abolished feudal customs like wearing burqa, oral talaq, etc and abolished the feudal Caliphate because of which Turkey had become the 'Sick man of Europe ', as it was called by Europeans.
He realized how backward Turkey had been left behind European nations, which were kicking Turkey around because of its backwardness. Backward nations and communities are always kicked around.. Hence he decided to modernize Turkey, which he largely did.
It is not surprising that the rascal and British agent Gandhi wanted to restore that corrupt idiot, the feudal. Khalifa.
I am not bothered about the stupid bigoted Muslims in India ( like most of the members of the Muslim Personal Law Board, who are mostly idiots ) since they are incorrigible and want to keep Muslims backward. But I appeal mainly to the young Muslims that they should modernize their community by propagating modern, rational and scientific ideas and denouncing stupid backward customs like wearing. burqa and oral talaq which have kept Muslims largely backward..
Oral talaq keeps a damocles sword permanently hanging over the head of every married Muslim woman, and thereby it keeps Muslims backward, since Muslim women constitute half the Muslim population. Thus the law permitting oral talaq to Muslim men ( and also the custom of wearing burqa, which puts many Muslim women in a cage ) has plucked one of the two eyes from the face of the Muslim community. To progress Muslim youth must now fearlessly come forward and condemn these backward and feudal customs and practices. Let the stupid idiots bark
