Despite all the bonhomie surrounding Prime Minister Modi's visit to China, I submit that we cannot have good relations with China, rather hostility will increase. Let me explain.
China has about 3.5 trillion dollars of foreign exchange reserves, and a huge trade surplus. In other words, it has a huge amount of hot money looking for profitable investment avenues. For this it has to capture foreign markets, like an imperialist country capturing colonies.. One of such markets is India, and it has already partially captured some of our markets, and is seeking to capture more segments.
But this will inevitably result in many of our own industries closing down, which will result in unemployment, etc. So we have to fight against this attempt to dominate us. And this will inevitably entail conflict with China. So all this Hindi-Chini bhai-bhai rhetoric is empty gas
